Hand Woven Ceramic Bread Basket with Sea Turtles
This is a brand new extremely functional design, featuring two sea turtles. The bowl is woven with wet clay , then I sculpt the turtles, and adhere them to the piece. I dry it out and fire it, glaze it with lead free glazes, then fire it again to over 2000'. The clay is glazed with a clear glaze on this piece to show off the natural color of the white earthenware clay that I use. The bowl is safe for dishwasher, microwave and regular oven at any temperature.You can warm your bread in it, or you can actually bake your bread in the bowl, and it will imprint the design of the bowl in your bread, and will retain the heat from your oven. It is also perfect for use as an aerated fruit bowl. The air circulating really helps to keep your fruit and veggies fresh longer. The dimensions of this piece is 9W X 14L X 4H.
